Club Rules of Play |
|
The following rules adjustments approved by the NBGC Board continue to be in effect this season: · If your ball lies in a divot in the fairway, you may take relief. No penalty. · Spike marks on the green may be repaired. · If your ball lies in an area of the golf course that you think should be designated “Ground under Repair”, with the agreement of another player in your group, you may take relief. No penalty. · If your ball is lost anywhere on the course other than out of bounds, rather than returning to spot of previous stroke you may drop a ball as near the spot where you and another player suspect ball should be and take one stroke penalty. This includes all rough areas parallel to fairways not designated as hazard. |

The only problem with golf is that the slow people are always in front of you and the fast people always end up behind you. |

2007 began with all the same excitement and hopes of a new golf season. My expectations are very high as I have been experiencing “swing mechanics epiphanies” on a daily basis (in my living room) swinging a 7 iron, putting across the room at a drink coaster and watching the Golf Channel….And I knew that this year, my friends, would begin with a bang. True that was, but the bang turned out to be a clap of thunder and the rain that followed washed out the first tourney. Sadly I'll have to wait two weeks to see you all at Turkey Creek and we can learn together if my game will rise or just my handicap. |
