It was a beautiful, sunny day in Lincoln yesterday as we played our first round of the season with old friends, new members and guests.

Wayne Madison, with his 2 birdies and 7 pars, posted net 69 to capture front (39) and overall (69) Nassau.  Alan Aceves, after a rough front, made a huge recovery to win back Nassau with net 34.

Carol Loftin won 2 of the Closest to the Pin holes.  Wayne and Ed Smith took the two others.

Lots of skins carry-overs, with Fred Engel and Fast Eddie winning the most spots.  Wayne, Al Scoggins, Tom Newsom,  Alan Aceves and Sasa Puchbauer also took some.

Jim Pawloski and Jim Bryan sank their 70-foot putts to win the first Putting contest of the year and qualify for the end-of year Putt-off.
